1. The Service

justabit.one is a satirical social media website. It allows users to:

  • choose a username
  • set a single binary value (“bit”) to 0 or 1
  • customise the appearance of that bit
  • follow or unfollow other users

There is no post history. Only the current state of a user's bit is shown. The service may change at any time.

2. Accounts

To use the site, you must provide:

  • a username
  • a valid email address
  • a password

Usernames cannot be changed after registration. Email addresses and passwords can be changed from account settings. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian to use the service.

3. Usernames

Usernames are visible to other users and screened against prohibited terms. Approval at signup does not guarantee compliance. We reserve the right to remove or suspend accounts for usernames that are unlawful, abusive, impersonating others, misleading, inappropriate, or for any other reason at our discretion.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • attempt to disrupt or interfere with the site
  • attempt to access other users' accounts
  • use automated systems to scrape or overload the service
  • use the site for unlawful purposes

5. Availability

The site is provided “as is”. We make no guarantees about availability, uptime, accuracy, or continuity. The service may change or be discontinued at any time.

6. Emails

The site sends emails only:

  • to confirm account creation
  • when you change your password
  • when you change your email address (to both the old and new address)

We do not send marketing emails.

7. Termination

We may suspend, terminate, or remove accounts at any time, with or without notice, and for any reason. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, justabit.one is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the site. Use of the site is at your own risk.

9. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
